Sea child is 8" standing and 5" seated. The tail and the arms are attached to the body with wooden beads so they can move. The child and the shell are both made from fabric that has been primed with gesso and then painted with acrylic paint.
The fingers are all separate. The hair is yarn with a shell headband. The nose and ears were added separately, the eyes and mouth are painted.
The 6" x 7" shell does not close; it is made to stay open. It has a wooden base and is quilted. There are three little stars and a seahorse in the shell also made of painted fabric.
